I camethrough UCD’s AccessProgramme, as I did nothave a Leaving Cert. Thatdid not matter for UCD,my potential did. I studypolitics and history and the degree has been verychallenging, engaging and enjoyable. We discusseverything from democracy to conflictresolution and revolution, as well as many otherpast and contemporary issues. The lectures andtutorials are full of debates that encourage newperspectives. Of course, the social element ofUCD is very important. I have made friends of allages who share similar interests and it makesthose deadline days a little less stressful.
